Dear cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends, colleagues and all others,

Most of you know me well.  But for those who do not, let me introduce myself: I’m Claude Gay, the youngest son of Mychelle and Camille. I’m a musician, bass player, father of Nicolas (10) and Myles (7) and husband of Laura McGee.

Nicolas has diabetes, type 1.

I now wish to share with all of you a wonderful dream that has become reality.

Last winter, during a quiet evening, my brother/godfather Dan and I came up with the idea of producing a CD because we wanted to share our love of music.  We then decided that all proceeds would go towards helping diabetic children, like my son Nicolas.

I began discussing the project with friends, musicians, sound engineers, my other brothers, our mother and, of course, my wife and children and everyone was enthusiastic about the project. Each gave generously of their time, their talents and their friendship.  Grandma Mychelle, my mother, went as far as providing full financial backing.

After many months of meticulous but always enjoyable work, the CD is now available. My brother Dan, who has never recorded professionally, signs his “Sweet Ones!” with panache. For me, this CD is much more than a musical production; it is a labour of love for my son Nicolas and for all diabetic children like him.

In my name, and in the name of Nicolas and all collaborators on this project, I invite you to buy a copy of “Sweet Ones!”.  I’m convinced you will enjoy it.

You can obtain all the details including where you can purchase the CD at this website: www.philgay.qc.ca/sweetones, along with information and texts related to the project.

The CD sells for $20 and 100% of all proceeds will go to various foundations dedicated to helping diabetic children.

If you are not close to one of these vendors, you can send me a check for $22 ($2 for Canada Post) to the following address and I will be happy to send you a copy:

Thank you for helping to fight this serious disease and those who suffer from it.

Diabetes is a life threatening condition.  Insulin injections are not a cure.

Gratefully,
Claude
